Having seen Pete live I can understand why. He is an excellent musician, song writer, and performer. What I can remember most about the concert was the voice and enthusiasm. The other song that sticks out was Guantanamera. So beautiful.

Oh!, I am SO going to bore you all with a little history. When I was about sixteen I was dragged, by my eldest sister "L" down to London for a concert. I had absolutely no idea who was performing or what type of music, but "L" and her then fiance "C" assured me it was for the best. Well, we got...

    I have a new name!

So, I was talking to a new Consultant that I am having to see, and at the same time as talking to me he was on his computer trying to find my MRI and CT scan results that he needed. He asked my name, I told him, emphasising that my surname has an apostrophe after the O as in O'Kexxxx. So he...

    Well done me

Get mine from an on-line seller, fairly large one ( ;) ) for quite a good price. But yes, out of the glass bottle is noticably better tasting. p.s. I live in a terrace, well above road level, with quite a substantial set of steps up to it (there is a ramp at either end, but a bit of a...

I have to admit I was smitten by one of the two (YES TWO) conductors, a young lady near the beginning of the video was actually dancing her conducting. I could have watched that for hours!

As with most of the classic music I enjoy I tend tolisten to multiple versions of the same piece; small ensemble/concert orchestras/famous/not so well known. Well, I enjoy hearing Karl Jenkins Adiemus, from Songs of Sanctuary. This version is not the most musically perfect, but visually...

    Wet sky?

Went out the front of my house this morning and noticed I was getting wet! Water was falling from the sky ?!? A neigbour told me she remebered this happening many many what seemed like years ago, and she THINKS it was called "Rain" then.

You should have been in Britain at that time, there were times it seems to have been played HOURLY!! I do find that playing any of his early ballads creates an air of calm around me.
