    I'm afraid we actually peaked at about 6000 guests!!!! and that number simply brings the site to it's knees. Our databases can't handle it, PHP scripting goes off the page, it's scary.

    One mention I will make here is that the support team at the web hosts that we use are seriously second to none! I dial their number and each and every time the call is answered within seconds by intelligent friendly people who KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!

    According to our hosting company on really hot days (they are based in London) we should expect the busy hours AM and PM to be slower than normal. It's the nature of the beast I'm afraid, nothing anyone can do about it.

    You have a couple of options open to you, compress the file(s) (zip) and let the members download and watch individually, or you can use one of many many video hosting sites, a popular one being VIMEO which is a free video hosting site.

    The forum only allows image and compressed file attachments I'm afraid. If people want to share a video clip, the clip is hosted externally and you just add a link to it.
