Yesterday we had a small animal Zoo on the park, here is me looking after the Barn Owl, Terry

In the main street in Newcastle there is a lady who has two owls for people to hold and have photographs taken with. At first I thought well as a a one off it was nice for Children and Adults to see [HarryPotter connection] but now she is there day in day out charging people £3 a pop to hold/get a photograph and basically exploiting these beautiful birds for gain which for me is rather distasteful.

There was no charge, but if you wanted to you could make a donation to help cover the transport cost

Very nice. I remember going to a few things like that as a kid. Always enjoyed them. Bit of an honor there for them to let you look after one of their birds. Thanks for sharing.

I have a gorgeous picture of my granddaughter holding an owl when she was about 5, they really are very graceful animals.
