Do foxes have holidays?

Being housebound my wife and I watch a lot of those walking videos made by enterprising members of the public who put them on You Tube. We are able to enjoy virtual walks in places we haven't seen thanks to the wonders of the internet. This morning we went on a virtual walk to Worthing in West Sussex on one of those walkabout videos. Worthing is more than 200 miles from where we live. We had just turned to go onto the pier when we saw something extremely unusual to be seen at a pier entrance. It was a fox. It ran onto the pier when it saw the cameraman but two minutes later he came dashing back off. I traced back the video and paused it when the fox was running past the cameraman on his way off the pier. Here is a pic of the fox. He is blurred because he was going at a fair rate of knots when he passed the cameraman. Do foxes usually spend their holidays at the seaside? Do foxes have holidays?
