Geatest ever sportsman or woman

Can anyone remember Eric Moussambani, the swimmer at the 2000 sydney olympics from Equatorial Guinea?
He was in the qualifying rounds when the two guys he was racing jumped the gun and got disqualified, so raced himself. He had never seen an olympic sized pool before in his life. He broke the Equatorial Guinea record and got the nickname 'Eric the eel'.

I remember him James! He swam like he had lead weights in his trunks! He became a cult hero for being awful, just like Eddie the Eagle.
