I love how quickly and effortlessly Miss Davenport came back with that response. I think she played a good character and am glad to see that she started to make her way into the ladies circle of friends. Also enjoyed Josephine Tewson in Keeping up Appearances.
 
Miss Davenports response "fits" my sometimes sideways look at life. I have to sometimes tailor my responses to people because jokey remarks can fall on stony ground. My family follow that old joke from the show that if I do go ga-ga no one will notice !:eyesroll::rolling:
