there was Gordon Wharmby. Almost did not recognize
Wesley without his glasses!!

Yes, isn't this based on the book series about the Constable in the dales or somewhere? by Nicholas Rhea

But yes, Heartbeat (the TV series) was taken from the
books by Nicholas Rhea.

But Wesley Pegden was not in the books

Anyhow, it was neat seeing Gordon in that episode. Don't
think I have seen him in anything else beside SW.

And talking of Heartbeat, let me say just that
Heartbeat and The Royal are two of our all-time
favorite shows, up there with SW, MASH, and
West Wing.
