Where to stay in Holmfirth area ?

Dear All,

I'm at last planning a few nights stay in or around Holmfirth and have been looking online at places to stay.

I love a pub,and my first thought was The Old Bridge Inn but just under £400 for two nights is way too much for me.

The White Horse at Jackson Bridge seems nice,the outside so familiar that it leaves a warm glow just thinking of sitting there with a pint.

I Intend to go before the Schools break up in July.

Any thoughts or experiences of staying there that you can share ?

The Old Wash Kitchen is a few miles out near where there filmed Edie's house and a firm favourite of Jonathan Linsley when he is in the area, a little further out and a place I have stayed several times is Coddy's Farm which is about £90 a night with a very good breakfast,

Have you checked The Rooms at The Nook? Or for a bit more upscale (and further out) The Boshaw Trout? That's formerly the Bay Horse. I've stayed for up to a week at a time at The Rooms at The Nook, and enjoyed it, especially the location, but I'm accustomed to university residences and an occasional London youth hostel — in other words, downright cheap, so it seemed almost like luxury.

You can always do a spot of glamping up the road at Holme Valley camping park. We’ve stayed there before in our campervan but they have since got glamping units.
