I think the Blamire episodes always had a bit of grunge to them which I liked, A touch of pessimism. I think Getting Sam home had the same type of feel too. Bleak humor was more abundant. In my opinion, once Brian Wilde came on board...

My mate had a stick insect… or so he told me. I used to gaze into the glass looking for it among the general foliage that was in there. Very hard to spot, a bit like those Sea Monkeys that used to be advertised in the back of 1970’s... -

Norm was mostly a one note character but George Wendt imbued him with such warmth that you could really enjoy his performance. Frasier is a very watchable show with many excellent moments and has some great build up from his Cheers...
