Thanks Pearl, there's some really interesting information there I didn't know! I do know that Peter Sallis did the first ever Wallace & Grommit as a favour for a young student for about £50 fee. I'm sure no one had any idea at that time that is would become so big, so I think it's a fair...
I'm staying at Coddys Farm as we speak and the weather here is pretty grim so I'd certainly encourage a July visit!!!!
I've stayed in loads of different places, but I'd say The Bridge is by far the most convenient, it has plenty of free parking, is slap bang in the centre of town and is pretty...
Although we love the show, I think there is a degree of pragmatism to the loyalty too. The acting profession is extremely precarious and actors generally spend more time 'resting' than they do working. Also add into this that most were just jobbing rather than leading actors they were probably...
How not to Cry at Weddings, I'm sure your character (who should have got a BAFTA) was chomping on an apple in the back of the hotel.....?
And you bought some chips on the way home with your astronomical appearance fee.
I certainly think of Roy Clarkes creations S/OAH has the most similarities to Summer Wine, I think Roy perhaps recycled some of his unused LOTSW scripts in Still Open All Hours. A cross over would have been really funny, I'd love to have seen Arkwright meet Auntie Wainwright!
Glad to have you back Kall and posting again. This post makes me realise we've lost some prolific posters, ie Peripheral, Electric Entwistle & Stephen, sadly some have died but others just seem to have vanished.
I'm the same CC, interestingly Which did an article on the sheer volume of fake reviews on Amazon which they don't seem to care about or take down even when they're clearly false. I've bought countless electrical items on their recommendation and more or less they've been perfect.
Perhaps I'm...
This review has nothing to do with the cream tea Terry is going to buy me, nor the £250 to cover expenses he's giving me to write this review. However summerwine.net is the best website ever 5 Stars!
These are very valid points, but perhaps sometimes we shouldn't let perfect be the enemy of the good. Which? isn't perfect, but I'm fairly sure they don't take freebies or financial incentives from the product manufacturers. They always make a point of saying they buy each and every item they...
So glad to hear that, don't worry about not feeling you have anything interesting to say. The day I say anything intelligent or coherent in my posts I want the other admins to ban me ! :D :D :D
I subscribe to Which? a well respected consumer magazine in the UK. They have run reviews of the various AI tools and the results certainly shocked me, particularly the inaccuracy of them.
I have to say I'm utterly amazed DDTW managed a second series as I thought it was utter dross! The old rule that spin off's are very seldom worth watching....
I controversially also apply that rule to First Of The Summer Wine too which I had to force myself to watch to the last episodes.
