You remind me of Angela Lansbury, an American lady who knew more of British history and culture than most of us here (admittedly she was born in London!)

Incidentally I watched her in Blythe Spirit in the West End shortly before her death, an archetypically English farce which she gave the best performance I've ever seen on the stage!
