Michael Bates was in the Navy Lark on a regular basis, but I wasn't thinking of June Whitfield as she only appeared in one maybe Two episodes at most.

The second show was more recent and a children's show - that may give you a clue - and it was one of the ladies from Summer Wine who was in it with him.

It's not June Whitfield.
You are right with Michael Bates, er 'Carry On Columbus' definitely not a children's show ;D

The second one was a British TV children's show, which might make it difficult for our overseas members.
I don't mind if you scour the web for the answer. The actress is still in the show, well not now but you know what I mean, and it was before she appeared in SW that she appeared in the programme I am looking for.
 
I am going to give it until this evening and then if nobody can come up with the answer I shall reval it as we don't want it stuck here for days.

If I do have to give the answer, some of you will kick yourselves when you see it.

Well it looks like nobody is going to get this one so I will tell you.

Sarah Thomas in Worzel Gummidge -she was the waitress at the cafe where he used to go for his cup of tea and slice of cake.

I will let somebody else post a new question as the next one I have up my sleeve is a really difficult one, so I will save that for later. :)
