Our local chippy is called 'The Traditional Plaice'. It is excellent.
They have all got the play on words haven't they?? Our best local chippy is on the market place therefore........ The Market Plaice! ::)
 
Whilst on this subject, if I remember correctly Bill Owen owned or part owned a Chip shop somewhere in the Huddersfield vicinity. Can anyone remember the name?

Was it called Compo's Cafe? We went to this after visiting Bill's grave in Upperthong. On the road to Holme Moss I think. The chips there were excellent.
