No, it was a field along Gate Foot Lane, a little way up from the Crossroads pub, which is now called the Toss O'Coin, when they are in the field the you see the pub in the distance

In the picture, the X is Digby's, and where the O is is where they filmed them climbing hills at the start of The Flag and it Snag

Thanks for that. I saw the pub in the later bits but thought the first bit was maybe filmed in a different field.
