So for a little bit of fun, lets all think of who would be a suitable actor who has not played in the show, as a make believe partner who could of played alongside them as man/wife or boy/girlfriend. Let's find a partner for Compo

The ultimate snob comes to the surface again to contrast with our favourite scruffy urchin so it could be either Hyacinth Bucket [Patricia Routledge] or Margo Ledbetter [ Penelope Keith] .
 
After doing a scarecrow impression in the barn,when Foggy turned the meek Smiler into "Captain Catastrophe"...AND when Ivy exclaims "WHO LET THAT SCARECROW IN ??" when our scruffy hero was standing with his arms outstretched I think that the delectable Aunt Sally [a.k.a.Una Stubbs] would have left poor old Worzel Gummidge for him.....with her snooty nature,and terrible snobbery she would have transformed his basement flat into the Blenheim Palace of West Yorkshire !!!.
