Snooker

Hi Amos. I don't but my hubby does he think's that Shaun Murphy will win.

Hello Amos ,

I was a fan but interest waned I hope the tournament lives up to your expectations and you enjoy it .

At present I am wrapped up in the relegation battle, as a Newcastle fan having to watch Sunderland play Norwich and hope they win[ really difficult] and we can do likewise later today against Swansea .

Finger 's crossed for the Magpie's

It will please all the pundits if Norwich City go down. Nobody outside of Norfolk will want them to stay up.

The guy that introduced it Amos was pretty good at keeping you informed of play. This was in the days before the pocket sizes were increased. He went by the nickname of "Whispering " Ted Lowe., because he was fairly close to the table and may have caused them to miss shots:thumbsup::thumbsup:

To add to my past thoughts on snooker, .....Steve Davis has announced his retirement from the professional game. He's 58 apparently and thinks its time to call it a day!

Hi Amos,I go past the Crucible Theatre on my way to watch Sheffield United, and through the Winter Gardens where they have that snooker table and the guests, and over the years have seen lots of snooker players, but have never wanted to go watch it,when I was young I remember watching Pot Black with my Dad and Brother,in black and white, there was one black ball, one white ball, and all the rest were grey.

I used to watch in black and white Amos (and anyone looking for the blue, its behind the brown! )(Something like that any way.:roflmao:)
I remember that - used to have a snooker table when I was a teenager at home.

In Sussex where I then lived the game availabel in the pibs was bar Billiards - with holes in the middle of the table, and skittles that you had to avoid. Many an hour or so spent n the Brewery Shades after work when I was younger. This was when I still lived with my parents and worked in retail, before I left home to seek my fame and fortune!
