I find it funny that you can clearly see cigarettes, Dunhill, Navy Cut also cigars in the scenes but you go into a shop they're not allowed to have them on show now so from that I take the only place advertising fags is the BBC a none advert channel. Ponder that awhile

Pear Drops. (I've seen them mentioned in a few of the mysteries I've read recently, but I've never seen or tasted them.)

They are a boiled sweet, supposedly the shape of a pear. Oddly they are traditionally pink and yellow in colour and pear and banana flavoured. I always found them tart or bitter. The flavour may well be different nowadays.
