Here is a link to the pdf document issued by the BBC trust, this covers BBC1 and explains what they should offer the public, and if like me after you have read it through, think the service we actually get is nothing like this document, then maybe a few letters to the trust might at the very least put the cat among the pigeons.

I had a quick count up of what's on offer on BBC1 for the whole of next week from 00.01 Sunday until 24.00 the following Saturday a total of viewing 168 hours.

News and Current affairs 56hrs-35 mins
Repeats 54.00 hours
Films 12.00 hours (which to be honest are probably all repeats)
Sport 8hrs-20mins
Soaps 2hrs-30 mins

Which leaves 34hrs-35mins to Cover Headings like Interest/Religion/Talk Shows/Reality/Comedy and guess what any comedy got the total of Nil minutes in the whole week, which is no surprise when News/Current Affairs and Repeats swallow up 16 hours each day on average, this looks nothing like the BBC trust document about BBC1's Service Licence

So it does look like the controller of BBC1 will run the channel as she wants and not adhere to the licence conditions, so if she will not adhere to the licence then we have no chance of saving losw
