So, start of another Saturday. It IS Saturday isn't it? Hang on while I check.
"VICTORIA, WHAT DAY IS IT?"
"You don't have to shout, I'm stood right behind you".
I won't tell you what my reply was but believe me, with a belly like hers there is no way she can stand right behind you.
'Why do you want to know what day it is, you going somewhere are you?' she asked.
'Well, that young physiotherapist said she was going to come round on Saturday and give my body a good going over."
"What with, a steam iron?" she asked. "Your body has more wrinkles than Nora Batty's stockings."
"She's concerned about my joints", I said.
"Yes, and by the look on your face when she came round last week you were concerned about her joints."
She was right about that, the physio is a right cracker. I got very excited when she started pressing on my sternum. ....???? STERNUM MISSUS, STERNUM. That's the chest bone bone that keeps your left and right bits in the correct place. ' Keep your eyes on that woman Captain. I've seen her sort before. If she interrupts me again throw her out. Now, err, where the hell was I? Had I got passed the steam iron? Have a cup of tea while I check. ....................... AHH, steam iron, and then sternum. Right I remember now. Well you know how it is when you get interrupted in mid flow. Have any of you fellas been interrupted in mid flow?
"I'm talking about conversation missus, not the err, err, what is your name? Ryenal. .... Mmm, Ryenal, don't tell me, I bet your husbands first name is Hugh. You're the woman who got all excited when I said the word sternum aren't you? Well for your information missus, stern doesn't mean the portion at the back. That's astern. I know dear, it is confusing isn't it? Poor old soul, will somebody sit her down and give her a cup of tea. OH, she is sat down! Now I can see why she got upset when I said sternum. Can someone screw that chair to the floor so it doesn't accidentally get carried off when she leaves. BACK TO MY STORY. ??????? What was the story about? I'm going to have to read it from the beginning to get back into the flow. FLOW? Oh heck, that word has told me I must go somewhere. Go back to what you were doing before you were dragged in here and I'll come back yesterday and finish it. :13:
