The Summerwine.net music thread

In a friendly nod to the musicians of LOTSW I realized that one of the best things about the show is the music

I’m realizing now how much I enjoy the sound of the harmonica

And so I recently began searching my library’s music collection for prime examples of the best jazz harmonica players

I’m glad I found this guy, Toots Thielemans, who played this gig on his ninetieth birthday

Hoping you can dig this groovy sound

Eli he has played on many great songs he played on a standard with Oscar Petersen called Caravan

He is also responsible for one of the most recognisable and memorable songs from a film, the theme from Midnight Cowboy.

Yes you’re right
I like that song caravan as well
I’ve been meaning to watch that old movie midnight cowboy
Never seen it before
I’m hooked on jazz harmonica now
Cheers

It’s just been announced that Geordie from Killing Joke has passed away. I first saw them in 1980 at a CND demo’ in London. Great guitarist and such a presence on stage. Still touring/ making music up until his death.

If I have posted this before, let me apologise now, but if that is the case then I perhaps feel this Pentatonix "Hallelujah" is definitely worth a second viewing.
The beauty of the voice. What more can be said.
