Whether it be a hike across the National Trust's Marsden Moor Estate, a tour of Ashley Jackson's favourite painting locations or following the Blue Plaque trail in Holmfirth town centre, the beautiful Pennine hills are waiting to be explored. For the more adventurous the Peak District National Park and Pennine Way are on our doorstep. We can offer local knowledge to help you to plan your own journeys and Holmfirth library have tourist information.
If you're game for a challenge why not become the king of the mountain and cycle the 2014 Tour de France Grande Depart route to the summit of Holme Moss. For less strenuous cycling the Transpennine trail offers miles of safe off road cycling, perfect for families. If you do bring your bike we can store it in a locked shed for you or you can hire a bike locally. For something a little different try a horse and carriage ride or star gazing at the Huddersfield observatory.
