Big Bang Theory (Not the TV Show)

I thought two of my favorite shows had come together! I am Sheldon Cooper watching Last of the Summer Wine and sometimes I'm a completely other entity watching Sheldon Cooper watching Last of the Summer Wine after taking a philosophy course... Clegg would understand.

    Acting Chops

Its fine. I shouldn't have mentioned Ronnie Barker so I really started the derailment and also I misspelled his name. Yes there were some real heroes in the movie business back then. Also sports. Ted Williams serving in two wars for instance. He would have held all the records if he hadn't lost...

Just for the record he was a brilliant comic, comic actor and comic writer. And we can let this thread which was never about him but got totally derailed die and I'll start a new one about how great Peter Sallis as an actor which was the intended point of the thread.

I can respect that Brian. I'm an outsider to your shores and I have only what I see in my limited knowledge allows.

    Acting Chops

I recently watched Roman Holiday with Eddie Albert and was reminded that he was a pretty fair movie actor which skill he brought to his sitcom Green Acres. Then I remembered all the old genre actors who filled Hooterville in the American sitcoms Green Acres and Petticoat Junction. Mayberry on...

    Goodbye Seymour, Hello Foggy

I enjoyed the actors very much and must admit to having a mild crush on Felicity Kendell. Also enjoy Richard Briars in Monarch of the Glen which I must be getting back to. I agree about escaping to a gentler world. I'm doing 'research' for a 1960s book about US sitcoms and I'm watching Andy...

    Greatest Vocalist

I suspect the greatest lead vocalist isn't a rock and roller but in a lesser known genre. Rock never struck me as a place where great vocals were that important. Still in that genre Freddie clearly.

Pondering tech but not to Clegg's standards.

I do try. I'm frightfully socially inept though.

Pondering tech but not to Clegg's standards.

My phone beeped and I thought cool someone actually wants to talk to me. It was just the weather alert. I said to my self, that is ok just turn on the TV and there will be people talking. Then I wondered for a moment what people did before TV when their phones beeped and there was no one...

    The little things

That is interesting. Thanks. I do have ideas that wander away into the mists of err.... mistiness.
