I was once told on a visit to Canada with the RN that Canadians are too well off to stay in Britain and not well off enough to live in America. There is a strong French influence there that must put them at a disadvantage to start with!! Geoff 8)

I've just looked up Liz Fraser on Wikipedia and she was born in 1930, which would have made her 70 yers old when she was in Last of the Summer Wine. In which case her looks were remarkable in that episode. Am I correct? Geoff :o

I was born in Bradford, but now live in Fife. I do visit my Cousin in Bradford occasionally. We went and had a pint in the White Horse. Unfortunately they didn't do meals then. Don't know if they do now. Geoff :)

Keith Clifford's Yorkshire accent and the use of thee's and thaa's seemed to replace Compo's in that both appear to be natural and not "put on". I loved Billy. Geoff :)
