I have read somewhere on a different forum that Wesley Pegden's Character was based on the Late and Great Fred Dibnah..The person said he had read Roy Clarke had admitted it in an article he wrote, I wonder if this is correct.??

Hello,I can confirm the bench in question does actually exist in that very spot...it has been there for quite some years (at least 15 to 20 years),I have sat on it often when walking that area. :)
I remember getting a Jonny seven for Cristmas one year...it was a gun that had seven different firing things attached to it...but my favourite was my Scalextric set with lots of extra track that seemed to fill the room.
