Re: Black & White for a Change

Black and White picture are good. There is something about them that says more than color.

Re: Black & White for a Change

I like black and white pictures as well. It gives it a nostalgic look. Good job.

I think it also gives this trashcan a less trashy look as well. ;D

Re: Black & White for a Change

In black and white it could also have been any time since 1930 apart from the fact that the rubbish bin looks like a plastic style one rather than a good old galvanised one!

And the modern gas feed pipe on the wall ;)

Re: Black & White for a Change

I hardly noticed the gas feed pipe on the edge! Will have to look harder!

Re: Black & White for a Change

And the modern gas feed pipe on the wall

I see three vertical pipes. One at the back is gray with
black tarry splotches.

Next one forward is top to bottom, and gray.

One at the front edge is shorter, with a plug in the top.

Which is the gas line??

btw - while watching an old Heartbeat (60's) t'other night, we
noticed what looked like a modern plastic/PVC water/drain pipe.
Were they around in the 60's???

The front edge one with a plug on top, doubt they had plastic pipes in the 60's,but in a lot of period stuff on UK TV you can spot things that do not fit the period, the obvious ones are TV aerials

Jeez, we had TV antennas on rooftops back in the 50's and
60's. How else you gonna see programs?? Get reception??
All 3 channels, back then.

It is the style of the TV aerial, back in the 50/60's they were a H shape, not like the flat modern style we use today
