Joe Gladwin

A unique naturally funny man......a man whos smile lit up the room.
Physical humour and body language he had no peers [apart from Stan and Oli maybe ??].
An absolute integral part of "our show"......every scene was impeccable.....the chemistry between him and Kathy was absolutely amazing.....you felt his pain !!!.
You were engrossed in every scene he played.....he became the central character [a prime example is his unbelievable performance in " The Mysterious Feet Of Nora Batty".....that was an Oscar winning performance !!!!.
Such a sad loss when his character would have evolved and given us all so many more amazing fantastic funny situations.....he played the role with such pathos.......Joe Gladwin WAS Wally Batty........and Wally Batty WAS Joe Gladwin..........an absolutely unique talent.
X!

Beautifully put as always MoodyBlue,I adore every single scene that Joe starred in and every episode he appeared in,and am mesmerised when watching him,I watch White mans grave over and over again just for the performance by him x

“Who’s a clever boy then”
When he was cheeky back to Nora when she said what are you a parrot ? When he was repeating what Compo was saying to her,
And my favourite
“She’s turned mi brain to jelly,am dependent on er”
But everything that came out of that wonderful mans mouth was music to my ears ❤️

"And is there enough chutney in it ?".....
Aye there is enough chutney in it"....
"You used to tell everyone I didn't pit enough chutney on them"..
"That was when we were first married"....
"yes well.......a women doesn't forget those things"..........COMEDY GOLD !!!!.
X!
