Sadly the noted BBC comedy producer who had a long association with John Sullivan, including producing Only Fools and Horses has died.

He also directed the Scarborough episodes of LoTSW (The great Boarding House Caper and Cheering up Gordon)

Ray Butt worked on many of John Sullivan's projects including Citizen Smith, Just Good Friends and Dear John.

He directed the early (and probably best) Only Fools shows including the chandalier sequence.

He unwisely left the BBC to make some rubbish for ITV.
