I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer Still Open ... . Leroy's character is much more age-appropriate for a young man than Granville's was at the same age. The whole thing is believable. The first series was just silly.

Hi Denton, It did take a little time for me to warm to the new series. I think you will find mixed responses to your question. Some on here like it and others not so much. I am part of those that like it. I know it at times is not...

I had the absolute pleasure of attending Newcastle's Theatre Royal yesterday for the matinee of The Last Laugh which is a play set in a dressing room of a theatre and is about the meeting of three of the greatest stars allegedly there...

I visited and did the underground tour here in 2008. It was very educational and the guide was a local retired coal miner. Conditions must have been very tough for those men who worked there during my lifetime, but they must have been...

My youngest daughters surgery does that too, you fill in an online form and they ring you with an appointment, you can fill it in 24/7 which is good for her because by the time she gets the kids to school and herself to work she doesn't...

We are lucky finding a new GP a few years okay, and they will see you on the same day with no problem, the previous surgery never seemed to have appointments and the doctors would look at their watch as you entered as you only had 10...

My words were about the local hospital and other services but my actual GP is excellent. The hospital is also fine but it has issues that shouldn't exist within a place where life and death are sometimes in the balance.

I was half expecting you to say that your wife already had her tonsils out when she was younger.
  • Marianna
I can confirm that. I have lived here for almost 40 years, until two years ago I had my own Doctor (Piper, until he retired, then "*******" until she retired) extremely happy with the surgery, I knew all the people from the Nurses, all...

This kind of c*** is becoming more common place. Hand on heart the NHS and other medical establishments employ people who shouldn't be within 100 miles of a hospital. Box ticking bull****.

When my wife visited ENT last year, they decided they would remove her tonsils, at the appointment that was already running late they said if you are happy to wait around 30 minutes they can do the pre op assessment which would save us...
