We would ride miles to get to a good tree. I walk past trees with hundreds of big beautiful conkers on the floor and I think back to those times knowing that we would have scooped up the lot. We need to get the kids conkering again...

Good thing you don't live in Kirklees (where Holmfirth is)! Quite a while ago they closed all of their public conveniences, leaving only the ones in Holmfirth, which are owned by the town.

When I had my wisdom teeth removed, the dentist dug and strained over one side of my mouth which swelled up immediately. After he finished, he made the statement, "Now I know how to do it." Later on, he did the other side quickly and...

This is the 44th annual Wineglass Marathon weekend. It starts near Hammondsport, on the edge of Finger Lakes wine country, and ends in downtown Corning, which used to be a major glass manufacturing city. The runners pass behind my house...

I noticed at the start of Mending Stuarts Leg, the publics interaction with filming seemed relaxed, not taking a lot of notice of the trio walking along the streets and I am pretty sure they were not all background artist. I also...
