Being over the pond I hadn't heard of him but researched his career after becoming a SW fan. Very eye opening and sounded like a controversial actor and individual.

No disrespect meant to Norman, but he was too famous and behaved too much like Norman Wisdom, and took over.
Which was a shame, because Norman could actually do a bit of a straight acting.
