The corner shop where I grew up was one of those tiny TARDIS's. I passed there recently - I've moved away since childhood - It's expanded in to the shop next door and is now owned by Mr Alan Round. It's now called "Shop A-ROUND the clock"!

A lot of these shop were turned into something else, I know the ones on our old street one was turned into a house and the other a cob shop. They were tiny with mostly tin food, cereals, cleaning products, beers wines spirits They...

Parents always sent their kids to the corner shop, nearly every street had a corner shop, we had 2 one on each end of the street.

A lot of houses have coal sheds some are just tiny sheds but some are huge, the house we had before this one had a huge coal shed at the side of the house, some people turned them into downstairs bathrooms or extended the kitchen.

Taking a note to the corner shop and asking for 5 fags!

Actually that was the idea but had no clue what we were doing and when we did read the destructions we were even more confused. He came down and it took him 5 minutes!

We bought our son one for Xmas one year, xmas eve we were trying to set it up and got so annoyed, tired and flustered with it we got him up at 2am to set it up for himself for the morning! He was delighted.
