That training center went bust pretty quickly. I've been trawling through back issues of newspapers for recent history, finding coverage mostly in the Sheffield and Barnsley papers. So apparently that was one of the rare instances when...

Remember the Stanhope, where the wedding guests met the bus? It had been a hotel and pub, then it fell on hard times, probably because of the tiny population of the hamlet of Dunford Bridge, where it's located. It's at the end of the...

I stopped video editing to watch the first episode properly; on the sofa with a cuppa. I think that episode gets better with every viewing.

Thanks @captain clutterbuck ... It might have been to avoid typecasting, but I suppose he didn't have any input on the script - and Vince Powell does seem to have written some less than successful shows. Trouble is, now you know about...

Sadly I have both the Inman DVD's, I found them just about watchable and compared to so called modern day comedy, it is nice to see some long forgotten actors earning enough to pay the rent

You're becoming prolific with your new videos!!! long may that continue too. I'm guessing the thumbnail is John Inman & Rula Lenska in Take a Memo Mr Jones, one of the few sitcoms I couldn't face watching beyond the third episode it...

I was thinking about Peter , how many actors can say not only were they in the longest running comedy show from episode 1 to the very final one but also part of team who won an Oscar and attended the Oscar ceremony itself . There are...

It's also possible that some of these books were written with a lot of help from someone who steered them a certain way to aim them at a particular audience. Really hard to know.
