In this area, Janis Joplin's cover of that song got all the air play. I didn't even know about Kris Kristofferson until my sister bought several of his records. Then I listened repeatedly to several of his early songs.
@gothic The Me and Bobby McGee song was indeed written and sung by Kris Kristofferson. Was also sung by Janice Joplin that became a number 1 single after she had passed. I think both singers did the song great.
