If you look closely you can see the initials L.Y.R. on the front of the lorry. Could that be Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway?

It looks that way Roger, picture below is a model of one of the LYR lorries and the font looks the same

Tel's old man said follow the van
and don't dilly dally on the way
Off went the van with Tel's dad in it
Tel came behind put his foot right in it

The horse he had "dallied"
"Dallied and Dillied"
Splat! with nowhere else to go
well you can't trust they swept it up
even from a little pup
when you're on your way home.
