After 7 years absence Last of The Summer wine is back on here in West Des Moines Iowa.
The film is brighter this time and they edited out the U.S. names for the first 7 shows .
They also edited out the naked pitchers Compo is looking at in the Barber shop.
I hope they don't get carried away doing that

There are different versions of some episodes floating around. It's possible they are using the US DVD release versions, which were edited a bit, but I also have two UK versions of that barbershop episode (and other episodes as well) which are different. We have to remember that when the show first ran it was considered an adult show and aired after 9pm at night but by its later years it was a family show. So, they changed some episodes in later UK releases and airings of those episodes.

Possibly the original UK versions of the earlier "adult" episodes were edited so that they are now suitable for broadcasting at more family orientated times. For example when they are on channels such as Gold, Yesterday, etc. which could be at any time of the day. Possibly also for copyright reasons.
