Compo's Thursday

Sorry Barry I thought the opposite , I thought the idea that Compo had a Thursday lady, not only that but an extremely attractive Thursday lady, however, one who was aware that Compo was far more attracted to another and that was Nora. It was a really clever twist and surprise to lighten the sheer distressing experience for the viewers dealing with the loss of perhaps the shows most iconic figure with the knowledge that we had tragically lost the actor, Bill Owen, behind that character and all that brings with it . There are people on here who still cannot bring themselves to watch the episodes surrounding his loss because they remain too upsetting .

I must admit Captain I rarely watch those episodes

Maltrab.....I absolutely concur with you.
To see such a wonderful vibrant healthy happy genius of an actor deteriorate in front of your eyes is such a painful experience and has stayed with me.
I never watch any of the trilogy and to be honest I struggle watching the episodes just prior to Bill's passing.
With his stellar performances over the decades I thought he would live forever........such a tragic sad time on the history of our wonderful show.
X!
