I had a friend who had a motorbike dismantled with all the parts stored in one of his bedrooms .He was effectively the landlord of a pair of flats he was downstairs , tenants upstairs they had issues with guttering so he bought lengths of plastic guttering and stored them in his flat wound from the passage around the door frames into the other bedroom and living room for quite a few months until he found time to do the work . He had to be careful to step over them because if he'd touched them the tension would have been released and catapulted him through the front door.
