They brought out a 30th Anniversary special edition paperweight similar to this one at the dinner in Holmfirth. I have got it somewhere, will have to dig out it.
Her father Martin Evans, a famous solicitor in Merthyr Tydfil was born in 1909, so I would imagine she was born circa 1927 (est 86 years old). When I get chance I will go to the local library, who will know when Jane started at Vaynor and Penderyn School. That will give us some idea.
I never used to like the Earnshaw episode but it did grow on me quite a bit, and was surprised to learn that at one time the audience for that episode was something like 22 million viewers, the highest ever for Last of the Summer Wine! :)
One of my favourite scenes in the cafe was in 'Are you feeling ejected then', where Compo laughs hysterically after Ivy tells Seymour he can't bring the ejector seat into the cafe. There were a few great lines in and around the cafe area in that episode!
Was bought the First of the Summer Wine dvds for Christmas. Can't ever recall watching it before so am looking forward to getting sometime to watching it!
