Following a recent topic on who plays who, I thought it might be a good idea to re-investigate the business of Pete Postlethwaite appearing in A Merry Heatwave. He's not in it.

Without looking anything up, I don't know who John Barratt played in the pilot.

Confusingly, John BARRATT is listed in the end credits of the pilot, yet there is John BARRETT who played the guide in Pate and Chips.

Is that a transistor radio being carried by one of the young ladies? In the original script, there was supposed to be one girl, carrying a radio, listening to 'Yesterday', by the Beatles. Incidentally, does the Last of the Summer Wine theme sound a bit like Yesterday?

Looking at how she looks in Carry On At Your Convenience, the year before, I would say not.

I didn't notice her in Short Back and Palais Glide. Where is she in that one?

Pat Bonna WAS seen again. She was in Spring Fever, playing the same character AFAICT.
