how you chose your summerwine.net screen names

Mine is a combination of my real first name and the shortened name of a TV show that used to be on over here in the states called Mystery Science Theater 3000... A guy and two puppets sit down to watch bad/cheesy movies and make fun of them. MST3K and then my first name Claye, then take off the...

    Sid & Ivy

Re: Sid & Ivy Seems like the popular answer according to google searching is Cassidy.

    SW Appreciation Society??

Maybe we should do some collecting, copy/paste or whatnot as an archive thing. You hate to see sites with such articles and information just disappear. Of course, I mean with the permission from the Society, if it's even still around.

    Singing

The trio bursting into "There'll be a Welcome in the Hillside" whenever they got a warm reception or lack thereof from Sid or Ivy. ;D Then Clegg and Compo singing "Apathy Birthday to You" in In The Service of Humanity.

    Throstlenest farm-was it used again?

No, that house is on Intake Lane between Scar Hole Lane and Hirst Lane. Looks like they've built a tennis court on their property now.

    marina's house

    You Tell Me Quiz 17

Something I noted before, which I'll do again. It's interesting to see that the same gate design is still there. Just picture Foggy standing there with the gate open.

    That's the one!

    You Tell Me Quiz 3

Good job, George! Compo's reaction walking up to Mr. Lucy, hearing his name and a huge U-Turn. LOL

    You Tell Me Quiz 3

I am disqualified in playing these location scene quizzes.. ;) I'll just say that I liked a bit that this scene was involved in. Had a good chuckle from it.

    Another Summer Wine comic...

Here's another Summer Wine fanart comic. #38 and I thought I was running out of steam since I only had 4 written planned after this, but before I started I thought up an idea to still keep a couple comics ahead of drawing them. Enjoy! I'm starting to see the dynamic with Howard and Marina...

    Villages

I remember in "Deep in the Heart of Yorkshire", they mentioned a town like Upperthong but they said either Middlethong or Lowerthong. This was early in my days of location finding and I remember not finding the town in question, just Upperthong.

    Throstlenest

This was filmed at two different spots. The far away shot of them driving to the farm, they were driving on Moss Edge Road near Brownhill Reservoir and Holmbridge. The scene where they talk to Reggie is a residence on Cote Lane just above Holme Styes Reservoir.

    Red Dwarf

That was the Easter special they did two or three years ago. I think the whole story was about 3 or 4 episodes. No laugh track or anything. I'm not used to the non-laugh track episodes, but I liked the twist at the end of the story. They've been filming (I think studio audience) for this next...

    jonathan lindsley

Didn't realize it was him at first, but saw a clip of it on one of the network channels here in the states a couple weeks ago and when the characters were normal (not in the sea themed makeup) you could tell right away it was him.

    Red Dwarf

Also a fan of Red Dwarf. I've got all the series on DVD here in the states. Waiting for this supposed Series 10 that they're working on. My favorite episodes have to be "Gunmen of the Apocalypse", "Duct Soup" and "Meltdown" where Winnie the Pooh is put in front of a firing squad. lol

    George

I sent my get well wishes on Facebook, but will do them on here as well! Good to see you're slowly on the mend, George!

    Famous LOTSW filming locations...

My best guesses as far as the times overlooking the land and where they've relaxed would be: 1. Cheese Gate Nab Side in Hepworth (that's usually where they take strolls) 2. Also the road that connects Scar Hole Lane and Scaly Gate (ending of Three Men and a Mangle) in Hepworth 3. The hill on...

Has Claye stopped drawing his LOSW comics?

I'll see what I can think up, if I can. I haven't seen that much of Keeping Up Appearances.
