Like Chuck, our Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) station here in central Pennsylvania doesn't show LOTSW at all.

Marianna, A while back, Terry posted a picture of a lean-to attached to the back of The Cafe. There was some speculation thrown around by the group, but nobody seemed to know its origin or purpose. Any chance you could ask a local historian about it if you have the time and opportunity? Dennis

The live cam seems to be up and down, depending when you check it. The PC Store was on holiday for a week, so they may have not been interested in dealing with the live cam.

It sounds like you are having a very nice visit. Yes, the still cam is frozen again. This time on September 25th. It should easy to spot.....it is right behind the hanging basket that blocks half the view.

There was a flurry of activity when Smiler (Stephen Lewis) passed away about 3 weeks ago, but that has since vanished. I am not a big Facebook follower, but the times I have checked, there appears to be lots of activity on the LOTSW sites there.

Tony, what would you suggest as an alternative? Terry mentioned a couple in a different thread, but I can't locate it.

Isn't there a 3rd location? Where was Cleggie's place in Full Steam Behind (Series 5, Episode 1) when Clegg was ironing Compo's tie? The opening shot appears to show the front entrance, which is not the clock tower flat entrance.

I believe there is an old thread discussing Tom Owen, but I was never impressed with Tom's acting talent or his character. The entire living in a bus thing seemed out of place and not connected to me. Once he found a niche in Aunties shop as a double act with Smiler, he was at his best.

Being from the US, I always thought George Chakiris was kind of a "big deal" since he won the Oscar and a Golden Globe Award for best supporting actor in West Side Story. He also had roles in "Dallas" and "Medical Center" TV shows. I never quite understood how he got a role in LOTSW though.
