    New Book released today Update

Hello good sir. No, I haven't got any book signings planned. With a face like mine, any potential purchasers would either run away screaming or faint on the spot. Happens to me every time I look in a mirror.

    New Book released today Update

It's a re-written version of my first book. The layout is different, there are extra chapters, new interviews, different photos and illustrations. I think this updated version is better than the original. Not sure if links work, but just in case...

    RIP Tom Owen

I am one of those who not only feels that the quality of the series remained sky-high right up until the end, but also that Tom Simmonite was an excellent addition, expertly portrayed by Tom Owen.

    RIP Tom Owen

Tom had been unwell for some time. He told me last month that he wasn't feeling great, but was 'struggling on'. Tom was a lovely and absolutely charming man. Very polite and likeable. As Graham says, a sad day.

Last Of The Summer Wine: An Appreciation

Last year, I started revising and updating my book and asked for your thoughts about why LOTSW had been so successful. A number of you sent me some wonderful contributions, which I will be using. Alas, personal circumstances dictated that work on the book had to be postponed. But I resumed work...

    Another loss

I had the pleasure of interviewing Lionel Blair for "Last of the Summer Wine: An Appreciation". He was courteous, funny and entertaining and spoke with fondness of his appearance in the series. Fantastic man.

    Robert Fyfe

Such utterly sad news. A remarkably talented actor who understood the character of Howard and played him to perfection. He and Juliette Kaplan were superb together. Let's take comfort from the knowledge that he lived to such a grand age. R.I.P. Robert Fyfe.

    Summer Wine Book: Contributions Wanted!

Thank you Kall. That's an interesting observation... "a place where we escape the problems of life..." I agree. I find myself hankering over the life - the world - as enjoyed by the LOTSW characters. I'd love to be there with them, living life insulated from the cruel, outside world.

    Summer Wine Book: Contributions Wanted!

Well said. How many other comedies inspire such fondness... such power to make us feel happier?
