Great minds...Lol I was watching this today as it was the closest I could get to the Coronation.

    Snacks

Your stomach certainly would hate you if you moved on to beer laced with barley wine. Lol Cabernet Sauvignon sounds far more upper class, though. I'd stick to that, rather than engaging with us Proles on common beer. Lol You and your boyfriend sound very nice. Glad you are with us. :37:

    Snacks

Not sure about snacks, but every time I watch 'Last of...' there is a necessity, for me, to drink a nice pint of beer that is, of course, laced with a decent barley wine.

    Book genres

I think you may be right with Barry.. He seems that way inclined. Howard, I think, would have read anything to do with escapology.

If I remember correctly, in the movie Peter Butterworth took the role of his friendly neighbour and Robin Askwith played Sid's son. Lots of fun though, and Sid is as good as ever. :)

Well I've looked and it doesn't seem to be on the 1984 VHS version, unfortunately. I wouldn't worry about going crackers, though, as I have similar misremembered experiences. I am absolutely certain there was a scene near the end of Carry on Henry, where Sid James looks into the baby's cot and...

Hi maltrab, are you sure you are not confusing it with the scene outdoors where the waitress is clearing the tables of our trio and Compo refers to her as 'Duchess'? If not, I have the original VHS release of this story from 1984 (which, Ironically, I have never watched -- for some reason)...

I remember waiting for this episode with eager anticipation when I was younger. I couldn't believe that foggy was actually returning. Mind-blowing! :37:

    What's your favourite episode?

I used to watch Crums every morning when I first went to my private school. I was very nervous and I knew that Crums was 50 minutes -- or so -- long and I had that amount of time to get ready. Still love it to this day. Got me through untold stress. Lol

Your favourite quotes from Last Of The Summer Wine. I'll begin

Unfortunately not, Barry. I would love to meet you all but I am far to late to get accommodation. Plus I am tied up with various other endeavours that have, to be frank, taken up a great deal of my capital. I wish you all a great time though; and, hopefully, I can meet you all soon. I am more...

Your favourite quotes from Last Of The Summer Wine. I'll begin

Compo to Clegg: You know I think I am in love with Nora Batty. Foggy: That must be thrilling for her. Like being adopted by a Deathwatch beetle.
