The Way things work these days

Sorry to hear of your difficulties Terry and Marianna. I'm sure there is an episode where Clegg is talking in rather sarcastic terms about the difficulties involved in getting to see a doctor, something like having to be unwell to fit in with appointment times, but can't remember which one it...

The Arts of Concealment is quite a memorable one.

    Santa

I don't really mind the Christmas stuff on show - some shops' staff obviously go to a lot of trouble to create a beautiful display. At my age and stage with (sadly) fewer people to buy gifts for, the pressure is less and I can let the commercialism wash over me, just as the Halloween displays...

Is it "There Goes The Groom" when Compo is talking to his ferret named Stella? (That always stuck in my mind because of the later human character of the same name).

    Jean Fergusson

Very shocked and saddened to hear of Jean Fergusson's untimely death, she was a fine actress and a mainstay of Last of the Summer Wine. RIP Jean and condolences to her family and friends. It's turning out to be a very sad year for us with the loss of Jean so soon after Juliette Kaplan's passing.

    Crockery quiz

Now if it had been Foggy and not Seymour as third man at that time, they wouldn't have needed to ask Glenda for a sedative for Smiler's dog - they could just have used some of Foggy's Horlicks.

    Continuity errors and mistakes

I don't think we can really count these changes of location as continuity errors, as the Summer Wine town is an amalgam of Holmfirth, Jackson Bridge, Holmbridge/Hinchliffe Mill, Marsden, Slaithwaite and lots of other places. The one that always amuses me though is when the trio are chasing...

    Crockery quiz

Attached is a picture of a cup, saucer and side plate belonging to my sister who bought them sometime in the 1980's. A set in this design crops up in an episode of LOTSW, we see a coffee pot, a stack of cups and saucers and a dinner-sized plate, who can tell me episode and scene and who owns them?

Amazon sellers are bad for "fantasy" prices, sometimes one sees items like books for hundreds of pounds or even over a thousand, not sure what that is all about.
