Really nice. I do like the description "sumptuously illustrated" and at near 400 pages it is a hefty book. You must have put a lot of effort into this. Also did not know you did '50 Years of Last of the Summer Wine' , kudos Miles. Hope it sells well.

Not really looked at the age...
Captain, for a brief moment I got the names Jerry Lee Lewis and Jerry Reed (of Smokey and the Bandit) mixed up. I do bet he could have done the song justice though.
Marianna, I knew Kris K. was an actor for a bit before I realized he was a singer as well.
@gothic The Me and Bobby McGee song was indeed written and sung by Kris Kristofferson. Was also sung by Janice Joplin that became a number 1 single after she had passed. I think both singers did the song great.
The movie Convoy was / is a classic. Stay smooth on the surface and paddle like...
My obvious thoughts are the following but you might be clever and wanting a different episode.
Full Steam Behind -definitely see a train and is talked about.
The Flag and it's Snag - Can't recall if we see a train, believe is talked about. At the station getting a parcel.
He who.. disassembler of Rubik's Cube.
He who.. thwarts Big Malcolm's fist with own nose.
Drat, I can picture Foggy saying things, but not what "He who's.." he is saying. So I made up a few, sorry Amos.
A neat collection. Saw the thumbnail and had to check it out. I'm sure many here can spot the lady in the commercial starting about the 30 second mark.
Compo might jump out of his Wellies.
Recently saw a video on X of one of our congress people trip themselves in a congress room assembly area that has stadium style stepped flooring. My immediate thought was to sarcastically imagine her jumping back up and shouting "Ban All Steps!! They are a trip hazard!!"
She...
Has me wonder if guys back in the day were named after trees or something similar. Ash, Douglas Fir, Larch... Oops, Larch is a Monty Python tangent. :)
Hiyas @captain clutterbuck , I remember talking with you about the show. Don't think I was fully invested in it yet at the time. Just dipping my toe in the water so to speak. Thank you for the info, you helped me look more into it.
I did not find a video copy of the episode with the...
Hi @Marianna , if you seek out the "Forgotten British Television" channel on youtube they have the TV episodes there in a playlist. They did a good job of bringing them up to 1080p as well. I can provide a link if you need. Hope you enjoy them.
Added: Here is a link, for some reason the...
Recently completed watching "All Gas and Gaiters" TV series. A nice and gentler comedy series a bit similar to "Father Ted" and "Bless Me Father" in that it is church based. Any others watched this?
I found it a good and funny show. Unfortunately the TV series only has 11 episodes that...
I had to do a search for what you meant... => football stadium (Everton FC).
Sounds like you are as big a fan as Jake and Elwood Blues are of "1060 West Addison."
=> Wrigley Field (Chicago baseball stadium).
A 'The Blues Brothers' movie reference.:cool:
It is pronounced 'bouquet'. ;)
Great share, not seen that before. Were the flowers sold like that before the show? Wondering if maybe that is how Roy got the inspiration for her name.
