Weird scratching noises in the loft

I'm also listening out in case Mrs WM starts levitating from the bed and saying "The sow is mine" ☺

A rare Peter Sallis non-LotSW role

It's pretty good with a bit of light drama and humour - a typical Sunday evening programme.

    It’s a bit windy

Here in Lincs near Skegness there was a thin dusting of snow and it was very windy yesterday. No trees down near us but part of the plastic fascia at one end of the roof came loose.

Weird scratching noises in the loft

Mrs WM thinks it could be a bird in the chimney which sounds like it's in the loft. We're hoping to get the chimney capped next year because when it's windy it makes loads of noise down the vent (the house doesn't have a fireplace). We know that some small birds nest in the gable end of the...

Weird scratching noises in the loft

We keep hearing scratching noises in the loft but whenever I go up there's no signs of birds or rodents. Because I read The Exorcist years ago and the first signs of something happening is sounds in the attic it freaks me out every time I go up in our loft!

    Cities in the 1890s

This popped up on my YT feed recently and it's fascinating to see times gone by so long ago:

    Breathy actors

Yes, I checked and it was Gemma Whelan. TBH I tend to find most TV dramas boring (ironic since they're not supposed to be!) but on the occasions I looked up from my tablet while Mrs WM was watching this it was mainly Whelan doing the breathy acting. I also noticed that Emmett Scanlan was in it...

A rare Peter Sallis non-LotSW role

We've been watching the TV series Kingdom on DVD and there's an episode with Peter Sallis, and another Summer Winer June Whitfield. It was good to see him in a different role and it's a shame he didn't get more TV work.

    Breathy actors

My wife watches a lot of TV dramas and I've noticed that some actors have a breathy style of talking as though they're slightly out of breath. Can't work out if this is deliberate or just poor acting. Mrs WM is currently watching The Tower that she recorded and an actor on it who is lauded in...

    Pie in the Sky

In some of the PitS series they used a blue office building in Bracknell as the exterior of the police station. I worked there at the time and remember seeing them setting up to film when I arrived at the car park in the morning.

    Pie in the Sky

A bit of trivia about this show is that Derren Litten who plays a policeman in later series was the creator and main writer of Benidorm.

bbc to bring back high school drama waterloo road

It's that thing where some people are famous for being famous. The idea that a celebrity is someone with a talent to be celebrated died a long time ago.

bbc to bring back high school drama waterloo road

ITV has something like 4 quiz/game shows on Saturdays. Presumably someone is watching them, but it's nothing more than chewing gum TV. Unfortunately British TV is dominated by that kind of thing plus soaps and "reality" TV. Even dramas IMO are mostly boring and half the time feature the same actors.
