I was outdoor staff, we worked on underground and overhead plant. More enjoyable in fine summer weather but a different story in winter, up the Dublin mountains climbing ladders in a snow storm, hands frozen stiff. And no, I do not miss it one little bit either :)

The Red Dwarf sitcom is due to air a three part series, late 2025. Nowhere near as many episodes though and had switched to Dave after the BBC had retired the series and a long gap between series, this I think (technically) would overtake Summer Wine as the longest running British sitcom.
