Bloomers is a good one, Denton. I recognized the flower shop owner from a Rising Damp episode. You are right that it ended because Richard passed from a heart attack before rehearsal for the sixth and final episode. The series was then shelved yet released for broadcast.

Interesting, I wondered if the medicine Kohler Co. was the same as the one that sells bathroom fittings. Turns out they are different and not connected. Discovered a few other things they made: Corn cure, headache tablets, 'Laws of Etitquette... selling patent medicine..'...

I do like Compo's response on not caring if it was Thursday-dale. Compo bringing by the three 'shy orphans' as well was hilarious. Shame they didn't stay for dinner. Could have made a very interesting episode and I don't mean in any way that could not be shown on TV. More in the banter...

Saddened to see that George Wendt who played Norm Peterson on the sitcom Cheers has passed away at 76. I have been making my way through the series the last few months. First time to see all the episodes in sequence since watching them over the air way back when. Halfway through the series...

I think Blamire would have loosened up a bit after another season or two had he been able to stay. He just needed to set a firmer tone at the beginning.

Can't imagine riding fixed-gear bicycles like those on anything other than the flat, level field they are on. Would be brutal to attempt the hills of Yorkshire with them.
