Where on the map was this scene

I am planning on doing a tour of Summerwineland next year. I was watching 'Just a Small Funeral' and would like to visit this location but I can't find it on the map provided here. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Summerwine Day/Weekend

I'll be there looks fun. I have only met Tom Owen from the cast when he did a show in Leeds about his life and relationship with his father.

    A few random thoughts

I think that what ensure the longevity of the series was the constant need to add new characters. Some of which just jumped out the screen like Barey and Brenda and family.

    Summerwine Day/Weekend

Has there ever been planned or exist a Summerwine Day/Weekend in Holmfirth. People could come dressed up and a few activities planned. I was thinking of something along the lines of WW2 weekends that seem to be popular Would be fun and could even bring in some tourism trade.

    Conkers

I agree I am often surprised to see conkers unclaimed. When I was a kid, they seemed to be a rare and valued find.

    Conkers

I remember throwing sticks into trees to get a good sized conker down after all the fallen had been claimed.

    A few random thoughts

I am not sure if I am going against the grain but I really enjoyed watching how the series reinvented itself which must have been necessary for it to last over three decades. If it was on now I wonder who might be cast for the trio ... a question for a new thread maybe?

Why were characters deaths not really mentioned

I agree that mentioning passing and funerals would go against the light hearted humour of the show. However, Compo's passing was done with amazing humour and dignity. I feel the brief mentions of a passing reflects reality as people don't dwell on it when dealing with day to day actions (and...

    Sid was Sorely Missed

For me it is Car and Garter where he is the one convinced to attempt the latest crazy stunt which Compo initially avoids, and ultimately does (it appearss Sid has more bravery to try the racing rather than face Ivy - a wise decision). What a legend he is to the series.

    Quick 30 second challenge

A quick game - give yourself 30 seconds to choose one Summerwine moment and share what came to mind. For me it was the a scene from Treasures From the Deep. It had Compo being the foil to a crazy invention with the leader Seymour sure it is a sound contraption with Cleggy looking on with his...

    Hello - New member here!

Hell9, I did something similar. I sporadically watched episodes during its original run and on the catch up channels. Recently I watched them all from series one onwards (over a period of a few months!) It was engrossing to watch how the series developed over the years - should still be in...
