This was at our last VW show of the year, Dubs In T’Dales. Everyone seems to have a few lights outside their vans at the shows, we’re more restrained and have just a set of string lights on a reel and we also have an ancient camping Gaz light. Nothing better than sitting by the fire chatting...

We have just spent a few days up in North Yorkshire( Bedale). Last weekend the weather (thankfully) was lovely after a bit of a wild week beforehand. Warm during the day but very cold in the evening which meant as there wasn’t much artificial light the stars were very visible.

They’re an acquired taste…

Whenever I had to write something from the inside on a window it was always the S that I cocked up, I had trouble with Y’s too.

I have a couple of those climbing up my shed. I might take one with me next time I’m there and take a pic! Good spot.

I saw yesterday that the tour has ended as they couldn’t find anyone to take it on and Colin has retired.

I still have all my old punk vinyl, I have sold a few items but I’m keeping most of it. I’m still listening to cassettes, I have a little collection of old blasters and can’t resist buying old radio’s from charity shops if I like the design.

Gentleman’s Relish is a paste that is spread on warm toast, made with anchovies and a bit peppery. Mmmmm

I prefer black and white photos. I always like to take a few of passages/ ginnels when I’m walking the dog if I see one I like locally.

On our regional news, Tony Wilson and Bob Greaves. As for weather presenters .. Jo Blythe. I’m getting a grumpy old sod nowadays and can’t abide the current trend for weather presenters building up their slot by telling us what’s going to be happening in their upcoming broadcast 15 minutes...

I meant to say I only enjoyed it up to the millionaire episode. For me Jolly Boys Outing, To Hull and Back, The Frogs Legacy, Danger UXD, Chain Gang, Cash n Curry, Second Tine Around are up there with the best.

I reckon you still can’t beat Only Fools & Horses, especially up to the episode where they eventually became millionaires. Watching it certainly makes me feel like I’m in the company old old friends.
