Phil Lynott was actually sacked by the lead singer of Skid Row, Brush Shiels in the late sixties. They remained on good terms and by Lynott's admission Shiels taught him to play the base guitar. Phil went on to form the band Orphanage with Brian Downey which evolved into Thin Lizzy.

I still have a landline, part of my fibre broadband connection package. It's almost the same cost with or without the phone which I use only very occasionally.

I don't think I've ever seen Timothy Spall in a bad production before. Here he commands the screen as always but not even his prodigious talent could save this drama. I gave up early on this one.
